Withanone

iGluR Inhibitor

Withanone is an iGluR inhibitor derived from the roots of Withania somnifera. It exhibits neuroprotective properties by mitigating cognitive impairment and inhibiting NMDA-induced excitotoxicity in neuron-like cells. Additionally, Withanone impedes the browning of white adipose tissue by disrupting the GRP75-ANT2-UCP1 complex, potentially alleviating cancer-related cachexia. This compound is suitable for research related to tumors and neurological disorders.
