XZA-1

HADH Activator

XZA-1 is an activator of 3-hydroxyacyl-coenzyme A dehydrogenase (HADH). It enhances the intracellular levels of acetoacetyl-CoA, leading to acetoacetylation of Chromobox Protein Homolog 4 (CBX4) at lysine 106 (K106). XZA-1 demonstrates antitumor activity in xenograft models of human hepatocellular carcinoma, specifically in SMMC7721 cells overexpressing CBX4. This compound is valuable for research into the mechanisms underlying hepatocellular carcinoma.
