Mitophagy Activator
Y040-7904 is a potent mitophagy activator that facilitates the translocation of mitochondria to autophagosomes and promotes the fusion of autophagosomes with autolysosomes. It operates through the SIRT1/FoxO3 pathway, resulting in the upregulation of critical mitophagy markers, including Parkin, PINK1, and LC3II/I. Additionally, Y040-7904 effectively reduces amyloid-β (Aβ) accumulation in both in vitro and in vivo models, making it a valuable tool for research in neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer's.
