Antidiuretic hormone receptor antagonists
YM218 free base is an orally active non-peptide antagonist of vasopressin (AVP) receptors, primarily targeting the V1A receptor with a high affinity (Ki = 0.50 nM) in rat liver. It exhibits reduced affinity for V1B (Ki = 1510 nM), V2 (Ki = 72.2 nM), and oxytocin receptors (Ki = 150 nM). This compound is valuable for research applications related to diabetes and kidney disease, enabling studies on the modulation of antidiuretic hormone pathways.
