YVAD-CHO

ICE Inhibitor

YVAD-CHO is a potent inhibitor of interleukin-1β converting enzyme (ICE, caspase 1) with a Ki of 0.76 nM. This compound effectively inhibits the production of mature IL-1β, showcasing its potential in modulating inflammatory responses. Additionally, YVAD-CHO has been demonstrated to partially delay motoneurone death in models of facial nerve injury, making it valuable for research in neuroinflammation and neurodegenerative diseases.
