Z-Pro-Ala

Carboxypeptidase

Z-Pro-Ala is an acid carboxypeptidase that plays a critical role in protein metabolism by catalyzing the hydrolysis of peptide bonds at the carboxy-terminal end of polypeptides. Isolated from grains and leaves of Triticum aestivum L. (wheat), Z-Pro-Ala has applications in biochemical research, including studies on protein digestion and enzymatic activity. Its functionality makes it a valuable tool for investigating the mechanisms of proteolytic enzymes in various biological processes.
