ZAK Inhibitor

ZAK-IN-2 is a selective, covalent inhibitor of ZAK (Zidovudine-Activated Kinase) that exhibits an IC50 of 11.5 nM. It targets the cysteine residue at position 22 in the P-loop of ZAK, effectively inhibiting its kinase activity. ZAK-IN-2 disrupts the phosphorylation of p38 and prevents Doxorubicin-induced cleavage of Caspase 3. This compound is particularly relevant for research in the field of myocardial hypertrophy.
