Zaltidine dihydrochloride

H2 Receptor Antagonist

Zaltidine dihydrochloride is a selective H2 receptor antagonist known for its antisecretory properties. By binding to histamine H2 receptors on gastric parietal cells, it effectively diminishes the stimulatory effects of histamine on gastric acid secretion, leading to reduced acid production. This reagent is valuable for investigating gastric acid-related disorders, including duodenal ulcers.
