ZD 2486

GP IIb/IIIa Antagonist

ZD 2486 is a glycoprotein IIb/IIIa (GP IIb/IIIa) antagonist that inhibits platelet aggregation by blocking fibrinogen binding to the GP IIb/IIIa receptor on platelets. This compound is instrumental in studying conditions associated with excessive platelet aggregation, including acute coronary syndrome, unstable angina pectoris, and acute myocardial infarction. Additionally, ZD 2486 serves as a valuable tool in researching complications arising from cardiovascular interventional procedures.
