ZK53
HsClpP Activator
ZK53 is a selective activator of human caseinolytic protease P (HsClpP), exhibiting an EC50 of 1.37 µM for alpha-casein hydrolysis. The compound specifically enhances HsClpP activity without affecting bacterial ClpP proteins. In vitro studies demonstrate that ZK53 promotes apoptosis in lung squamous cell carcinoma (LUSC) cell lines, such as H1703, H520, and SK-MES-1, and disrupts mitochondrial functions. Additionally, ZK53 has been shown to inhibit tumor growth in the H1703 xenograft mouse model, making it a valuable tool for cancer research.
