3,5,7,3′,4′-Pentamethoxyflavone

Ca2+ Channel Inhibitor

3,5,7,3′,4′-Pentamethoxyflavone is a Ca2+ channel inhibitor that exhibits protective effects against oxidative DNA damage. It facilitates relaxation of the human corpus cavernosum through mechanisms related to calcium mobilization and promotes the expression of endothelial nitric oxide synthase (eNOS) and cystathionine gamma-lyase (CSE) proteins in middle-aged male rats, thereby regulating vascular function. This compound is valuable for research applications in diabetes and cardiovascular diseases.
