5,5'-Dinitro BAPTA AM

Calcium Chelator

5,5'-Dinitro BAPTA AM is a membrane-permeant calcium chelator that effectively binds to cytosolic Ca2+. This compound is utilized for probing the role of calcium ions in various cellular processes. Upon incubation with live cells, 5,5'-Dinitro BAPTA AM is hydrolyzed by cytosolic esterases, releasing the active tetra-carboxylate ligand for further biological investigation.
