ABT-702 hydrochloride

Adenosine Kinase Inhibitor

ABT-702 hydrochloride is a selective adenosine kinase (AK) inhibitor, exhibiting an IC50 of 1.7 nM. With over 1300-fold selectivity for AK compared to other biological targets, including cyclooxygenases-1 and -2, ABT-702 hydrochloride effectively increases free adenosine levels, thereby attenuating inflammation associated with diabetic retinopathy. Additionally, it demonstrates both analgesic and anti-inflammatory properties in vivo, making it a valuable reagent for research in diabetic retinopathy and related conditions.
