Amodiaquine

Antimalarial Agent

Amodiaquine is a 4-aminoquinoline antimalarial agent that functions primarily by inhibiting histamine N-methyltransferase. Additionally, it acts as a Nurr1 agonist, specifically binding to the Nurr1 ligand-binding domain with an EC50 of approximately 20 µM. Its anti-inflammatory properties make it a valuable tool for research in malaria treatment and inflammation-related studies.
