Antiplasmodial Drug
Antimalarial agent 33 is an antiplasmodial compound targeting both the erythrocytic and hepatic stages of Plasmodium. With an EC50 of 1.1 μM against the K1 strain of P. falciparum, it exhibits potent antimalarial activity. Additionally, antimalarial agent 33 demonstrates improved microsomal stability, with a half-life (T1/2) of 29 minutes, and shows no significant cytotoxicity to primary hepatocytes, making it a promising candidate for further research in malaria treatment.
