Apelin-17(human, bovine)
APJ Agonist
Apelin-17 (human, bovine) is an endogenous agonist of the G protein-coupled receptor APJ. It exhibits significant binding affinity to human APJ receptors, as demonstrated in HEK 293 cells (pIC50 = 9.02). This peptide plays a critical role in inhibiting the entry of HIV-1 and HIV-2 into NP2/CD4 cells expressing APJ, making it valuable for research in virology and receptor signaling pathways. Its biophysical properties also support investigations into metabolic regulation and cardiovascular functions.
