Arecaidine propargyl ester hydrobromide

Apoptosi

Arecaidine propargyl ester hydrobromide is an agonist of M2 muscarinic acetylcholine receptors, exhibiting significant inhibitory effects on tumor cell proliferation. This compound has demonstrated the ability to induce apoptosis and stimulate the production of reactive oxygen species (ROS) in ovarian cancer cells in vitro. Additionally, it can cause cell cycle arrest at the G2/M phase and increase the occurrence of abnormal mitosis, particularly in ovarian surface epithelial cells with elevated M2 receptor levels. Arecaidine propargyl ester hydrobromide also shows potential cardiovascular effects by lowering arterial blood pressure, suggesting its relevance for pharmacological research.
