Asterriquinone

Antitumor Agent

Asterriquinone is a potent antitumor agent that inhibits Grb-2 binding, specifically targeting the interaction with tyrosine phosphorylated epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) with an IC50 of 8.37 μM. Additionally, it serves as an inhibitor of HIV-1 reverse transcriptase, exhibiting a Ki of 2.3 μM. Asterriquinone also effectively obstructs the binding activities of Grb-7 and phospholipase C-gamma (PLC-γ), making it a valuable compound for cancer and viral research applications.
