Balapiravir hydrochloride

Anti-HCV Agent

Balapiravir hydrochloride is a nucleoside analogue that acts as an inhibitor of the RNA-dependent RNA polymerase (RdRp) of the hepatitis C virus (HCV). It exhibits significant anti-HCV activity, making it a valuable compound for research into antiviral strategies. Additionally, Balapiravir hydrochloride features an azide group, enabling it to function as a reagent for click chemistry applications such as copper-catalyzed azide-alkyne cycloaddition (CuAAc) and strain-promoted alkyne-azide cycloaddition (SPAAC) with alkyne, DBCO, or BCN-containing molecules. This compound is a useful tool in both virology and synthetic chemistry research.
