Batabulin

Antitumor Agent

Batabulin is an antitumor agent that covalently and selectively binds to specific β-tubulin isotypes, disrupting microtubule polymerization. This interference alters cell morphology and induces cell-cycle arrest, ultimately leading to apoptotic cell death. Batabulin is utilized in research to explore mechanisms of cancer cell proliferation and potential therapeutic strategies.
