Benfuracarb

Insecticide

Benfuracarb is a broad-spectrum carbamate insecticide that targets various pests, primarily used for crop protection in sugar beet cultivation. This compound effectively controls pests such as springtails and aphids. Research indicates that Benfuracarb exhibits toxicity to humans and aquatic organisms; exposure in zebrafish embryos has been shown to reduce larval body length and increase superoxide dismutase (SOD) activity. Additionally, Benfuracarb disrupts the transcription of marker genes related to early embryonic development, highlighting its potential impact on non-target organisms.
