Bisaramil

Antiarrhythmic Agent

Bisaramil is an orally active antiarrhythmic agent that targets cardiac ion channels to modulate electrical activity in the heart. This compound exhibits a concentration-dependent inhibitory effect on phorbol 12-myristate 13-acetate (PMA)-stimulated free radical generation, thereby prolonging the time lag in cardiac responses. Bisaramil serves as a valuable tool for research focused on cardiac arrhythmias and oxidative stress-related disorders.
