BP Fluor 405 acid

BP Fluor 405 acid is a water-soluble fluorescent dye that emits blue fluorescence, primarily utilized in multi-color applications such as flow cytometry and super-resolution microscopy, including STORM. Its excitation is optimal for the 407 nm spectral line of krypton lasers or 408 nm violet laser diodes, ensuring versatile usage across various experimental setups. The carboxylic acid functionality facilitates the synthesis of custom activated esters, such as sulfo-NHS and TFP, which may not be readily available. Additionally, it plays a significant role in peptide modification during solid-phase synthesis, often requiring in-situ activation with coupling reagents. BP Fluor 405 acid is also employed for calibration and control experiments.
