Caffeine orange

Aqueous-phase fluorescence turn-on sensor for caffeine

Caffeine orange is an aqueous-phase fluorescence turn-on sensor specifically designed for the selective detection of caffeine. Under 532 nm green excitation light, caffeinated solutions exhibit an orange fluorescence, facilitating easy visualization of caffeine presence. This compound demonstrates excellent photophysical characteristics, including a high extinction coefficient, substantial light stability, and a narrow emission bandwidth, making it suitable for research applications in the development of caffeine detection devices.
