CalFluor 488 Azide

Fluorogenic Azide Probe

CalFluor 488 Azide is a water-soluble fluorogenic azide probe that requires activation through Cu-catalyzed or metal-free click reactions. This reagent remains non-fluorescent until it reacts with alkyne-containing molecules, allowing for a reliable detection method. CalFluor 488 Azide readily participates in copper-catalyzed azide-alkyne cycloaddition (CuAAc) as well as ring strain-promoted alkyne-azide cycloaddition (SPAAC) with DBCO or BCN groups, making it valuable for applications in chemical biology, bioconjugation, and live cell imaging.
