CB096
RNA Translation Inhibitor
CB096 is an RNA translation inhibitor that selectively binds to the 5′CGG/3′GGC internal loop structure of r(G4C2)exp RNA. This compound disrupts its gain-of-function mechanism, leading to the regulation of nucleolar focusing, RNA splicing defects, RNA metabolism, and impaired nucleocytoplasmic transport, as well as toxic dipeptide repeat (DPR) production. CB096 demonstrates an IC50 of 20 μM in HEK293T cells, making it valuable for research into RNA-related pathologies and potential therapeutic interventions.
