Chlorin e6 trisodium

Photosensitizer

Chlorin e6 trisodium is a water-soluble chlorin-based photosensitizer primarily targeted for photodynamic therapy (PDT) applications. It exhibits strong absorption in the wavelength range of 600-670 nm and emits distinctive red fluorescence when excited by light. This property facilitates real-time visualization of tumor margins and progression. Chlorin e6 trisodium is particularly useful in the investigation of cancer treatments, including bladder cancer, and in enhancing fluorescence-based diagnostics of neoplastic lesions.
