Fluorogenic Camptothecin Prodrug
CPT-Se4 is a fluorogenic camptothecin prodrug that targets cancer cells through enhanced cytotoxicity. This compound effectively reduces the GSH/GSSG ratio and total thiol levels while increasing reactive oxygen species (ROS) in Hep G2 cells, leading to the induction of apoptosis. CPT-Se4 demonstrates significant antitumor activity across various cancer cell lines, including HeLa, Hep G2, A549, and SMMC-7721, with an IC50 range of 2.54-6.4 μM, making it a valuable tool for cancer research applications.
