CTC 96

Antiviral Agent

CTC 96 is an antiviral agent that functions by inhibiting the fusion process between viral envelopes and host cell membranes, thereby preventing viral entry. It demonstrates potent activity against herpes viruses such as HSV-1, as well as adenoviruses, varicella-zoster virus (VZV), and vesicular stomatitis virus (VSV). CTC 96 effectively blocks viral protein and mRNA synthesis, making it a valuable tool for broad-spectrum antiviral research and applications. Notably, it has shown promising results in preclinical rabbit eye models for adenoviral infections.
