Darlifarnib

Farnesyl Transferase Inhibitor

Darlifarnib is an orally active farnesyl transferase inhibitor that disrupts the mTORC1 signaling pathway. This compound enhances the anti-angiogenic effects of tyrosine kinase inhibitors, making it effective in combination therapies. Darlifarnib is particularly relevant in renal cell carcinoma research, as it promotes tumor regression and inhibits neovascularization when used alongside anti-VEGFR tyrosine kinase inhibitors. Additionally, it sensitizes tumors that have progressed following anti-VEGFR TKI treatment.
