MLK3 Activator
(E)-2-Hexadecenal is a selective activator of MLK3, known for inducing cytoskeletal remodeling that results in cellular rounding, detachment, and apoptosis in both human and mouse cells. By activating the MLK3 signaling pathway, it facilitates the phosphorylation of MKK4/7 and JNK, which in turn triggers the phosphorylation of downstream substrates such as c-Jun, alongside processes like cytochrome c release, Bax activation, Bid cleavage, and Bim translocation to mitochondria. This compound is valuable for research into sphingolipid signaling pathways and related cellular mechanisms.
