Eldecalcitol

Vitamin D Analogue

Eldecalcitol is an orally active vitamin D3 analogue that targets bone metabolism by inhibiting bone resorption and enhancing bone mineral density. This compound has demonstrated anti-tumor effects, as it inhibits cell proliferation and migration while inducing apoptosis through the suppression of GPx-1. Eldecalcitol is relevant for research into bone health, cancer biology, and the mechanisms of vitamin D action.
