Fenpyrazone

HPPD Inhibitor

Fenpyrazone is a selective inhibitor of 4-hydroxyphenylpyruvate dioxygenase (HPPD), serving as an effective post-emergence herbicide. This compound disrupts carotenoid biosynthesis in target plants, leading to chlorosis of new tissues and eventual necrosis, effectively controlling the growth of susceptible weed species. Fenpyrazone is particularly valuable in research focused on managing both annual monocotyledonous and dicotyledonous weeds in summer maize cultivation.
