Fluo-3 pentapotassium

Fluorochrome

Fluo-3 pentapotassium is a cell-impermeable fluorochrome primarily used as a calcium ion (Ca2+) indicator. This compound is non-fluorescent in its native state, but upon binding to calcium ions, it exhibits increased fluorescence with an excitation/emission maximum at 488/525 nm. Fluo-3 pentapotassium is widely applicable in cellular studies to measure intracellular calcium levels and assess cellular signaling pathways.
