FTase Inhibitor
FTI-2153 is a potent and highly selective inhibitor of farnesyltransferase (FTase), exhibiting an IC50 of 1.4 nM. This compound demonstrates significant potency in inhibiting H-Ras processing (IC50 of 10 nM), being over 3000-fold more effective than its impact on Rap1A. FTI-2153 shows promising anti-cancer activity, making it a valuable tool for research in cancer biology and the development of targeted therapies against Ras-driven tumors.
