Galactosylceramide

Glucosylceramide

Galactosylceramide (GalC) is a sphingolipid that primarily targets glucosylceramide, playing a significant role in various physiological and pathological processes. It is associated with lysosomal storage disorders, including Gaucher disease, and is implicated in neurodegenerative diseases characterized by the accumulation of glucosylceramide. Galactosylceramide is used in research to explore its influence on cell signaling, membrane dynamics, and disease mechanisms.
