(-)-Gallopamil ((-)-Methoxyverapamil)

Fast Voltage-Dependent Inactivation Modulator

(-)-Gallopamil acts as a selective modulator of fast voltage-dependent inactivation, targeting Cav1.2 constructs associated with β-subunits. This compound efficiently inhibits these constructs, promoting rapid inactivation and thereby accelerating the voltage-dependent phase of ICa decay, as well as the decay of Ba2+ currents. (-)-Gallopamil is a valuable reagent for research applications focused on antiarrhythmic drug development and cardiac electrophysiology.
