Gd-PCTA-Ach

MRI Contrast Agent

Gd-PCTA-Ach is a macrocyclic gadolinium-based MRI contrast agent designed for enhanced imaging through its high kinetic inertness and moderate affinity for albumin. Its ability to bind to albumin effectively prolongs blood circulation time, contributing to improved imaging quality. Gd-PCTA-Ach is predominantly cleared via the kidneys, with approximately 10% excreted through the hepatobiliary pathway, showcasing its unique dual-channel excretion profile. This contrast agent is particularly valuable for high-resolution imaging of brain and liver tumors, making it instrumental in diagnostic research focused on liver cancer and glioma.
