GDP-α-D-mannose disodium

GTP Inhibitor

GDP-α-D-mannose disodium serves as a GTP inhibitor, acting as a donor substrate for mannosyltransferases and a precursor for GDP-β-L-fucose. It exhibits competitive inhibition towards GTP, with a Ki value of 14.7 μM, and demonstrates uncompetitive inhibition with respect to mannose-1-phosphate, showing a Ki of 115 μM. This compound is valuable for investigations into glycosylation processes and the role of GTP in various cellular mechanisms.
