GDP-D-mannose disodium

GTP Inhibitor

GDP-D-mannose disodium is a GTP inhibitor that serves as a crucial donor substrate for mannosyltransferases. Comprising GDP-α-D-mannose and GDP-β-D-mannose, this compound demonstrates competitive inhibition towards GTP with a Ki value of 14.7 μM, and an uncompetitive inhibition against mannose-1-phosphate with a Ki of 115 μM. It is employed in research applications aimed at elucidating glycosylation processes and studying glycan biosynthesis.
