Glucosylsphingosine

Glucocerebrosidase Inhibitor

Glucosylsphingosine is a specific non-competitive inhibitor of glucocerebrosidase, exhibiting a Ki value of 30 μM. This deacylated form of glucosylceramide demonstrates neurotoxic properties and is relevant for studies exploring the pathophysiology of lysosomal storage disorders, particularly Krabbe and Gaucher diseases. Its mechanism of action and biological activity make Glucosylsphingosine a valuable tool for researchers investigating therapeutic strategies for these conditions.
