Glycocyamine

Creatine Precursor

Glycocyamine is a direct precursor of creatine, functioning primarily as an energy metabolism regulator and promoter of myogenic differentiation. By activating the Akt/mTOR/S6K signaling pathway through miR-133a-3p and miR-1a-3p, Glycocyamine enhances the expression of key myogenic differentiation factors such as MyoD and MyoG. This compound increases muscle creatine levels and maintains ATP homeostasis via the creatine phosphate/creatine kinase system, making it a valuable tool for research on feed additives in poultry farming.
