Gossypolone

Musashi-1 Inhibitor

Gossypolone is a potent inhibitor of the RNA-binding protein Musashi-1, with a Ki value of 12 nM. It disrupts the interaction between Musashi and numb RNA by binding directly to the RNA-binding domain 1 (RBD1) of the MSI1 protein. This compound is valuable for cancer research, particularly in studies focusing on the regulatory roles of Musashi-1 in cancer cell biology.
