GS-9191

Nucleotide Analog

GS-9191 is a prodrug of the nucleotide analog PMEG with a primary mechanism targeting nucleotide synthesis. It serves as a topical agent that effectively permeates the skin and is metabolized into the active nucleoside triphosphate analog within the epithelial layer. GS-9191 inhibits nucleic acid synthesis, leading to cell cycle arrest in the S phase and subsequent induction of apoptosis. This compound is valuable for research into human papillomavirus (HPV) infections.
