Heterophos
Organophosphorus Insecticide
Heterophos is an organophosphorus insecticide that functions as an acetylcholinesterase (AChE) inhibitor. By disrupting the normal breakdown of acetylcholine, Heterophos leads to the accumulation of this neurotransmitter, resulting in disturbances of nerve conduction in insects.
