IR-1048

NTR Probe

IR-1048 is a nitroreductase (NTR)-responsive near-infrared (NIR) fluorescence and photoacoustic imaging probe, as well as a photothermal agent. This compound features a nitroimidazole group, which upon catalytic reduction by NTR in hypoxic conditions, re-establishes strong NIR absorption and fluorescence emission in the NIR II window. The resulting photothermal effect allows for targeted imaging and photothermal ablation of tumor hypoxic regions. IR-1048 is primarily utilized in high-contrast NIR II/photoacoustic imaging and photothermal therapy research, focusing on the characterization and diagnosis of the tumor hypoxic microenvironment.
