Cysteine Residues Probe
KB05yne is a specially designed alkyne-functionalized electrophilic probe that selectively targets cysteine residues in proteins. It exhibits strong labeling of wild-type target proteins such as CDKN2AIP and HPCAL1, while showing no reactivity with their cysteine-to-alanine mutants, thereby confirming its site-specific reactivity. KB05yne is a valuable tool for covalent ligand discovery and optimization, making it particularly useful in research involving cysteine residues in cancer-related proteins or those that are challenging to purify.
