Keratin sulfate

Proteoglycan

Keratin sulfate is a heparin-related proteoglycan that interacts with specific receptors, influencing their stability and functionality. This compound is primarily involved in cellular processes associated with matrix organization and cellular signaling. Research applications include studies on proteoglycan interactions and the effects on fibroblast growth factor pathways, despite its lack of enhancement on the mitogenic effects of FGF-2.
