L 858051 dihydrochloride

Adenylyl Cyclase Activator

L 858051 dihydrochloride is a potent adenylyl cyclase activator that directly stimulates the production of cyclic AMP (cAMP) in cells. This compound significantly elevates intracellular cAMP levels, inducing robust activation of recombinant cyclic nucleotide-gated channels and enhancing L-type Ca2+ currents in adult rat ventricular myocytes. Additionally, it has been shown to increase total phosphodiesterase activities, providing valuable insights into subsarcolemmal cAMP dynamics and compartmentation within cardiac cells. L 858051 dihydrochloride is a useful reagent for exploring cAMP-related signaling pathways in cardiovascular research.
