L-I-OddU
Antiviral Agent
L-I-OddU is a L-5'-halo-dioxolane nucleoside analogue that functions as a selective antiviral agent targeting the Epstein-Barr virus (EBV). It exhibits potent antiviral activity, with an effective concentration (EC50) of 0.03 μM and a high cytotoxicity threshold demonstrated by a CC50 value of 1000 nM. L-I-OddU exerts its antiviral effects by inhibiting replicative EBV DNA synthesis and the production of viral proteins, making it valuable for research in viral pathogenesis and therapeutic development.
